History //
Who is Alvin H.?

When I first started helping companies unleash the power of the web, my now 90-year-young grandfather was constantly asking me to tell him more. A curious man, passionate for new knowledge and a different approach to the traditional, a simple "it's easy, you just need to know the right strategy and best channels and mediums" wouldn't do. How do you describe the power of the web to a 90-something retired businessman? How do you tell him that this new infrastructure and technology poised to transform the way we live and conduct business.

After all, Alvin Howard Fry built his distribution business in the '70s not by using social media; not by selling and promoting online; not by having a blog or using Facebook/Twitter to communicate with his customers; not by having an optimized, professional website. He built it on relationships. He built it on integrity, ingenuity, and honesty—business fundamentals that, despite advances in technology, haven't changed. These are the fundamentals of Alvin H. and the pursuit of business.

With a tremendous amount of respect for my grandfather's approach to good business, helping customers grow their business and his unmatched desire to learn, my company shares his namesake. He's a reminder that hard work earns respect and builds businesses; knowledge transforms our capabilities; and all things become more possible when you are armed with the right tools.

This is Alvin H. I promise to you the same integrity, and dedication to working hard and asking the right questions. I look forward to exploring the possibilities of how your business can unleash the power of the web and add real value to your bottom line.

Best regards,
Carrie Fry
